You can permanently delete your Instagram account from your phone or computer. But to start, kindly:
Download Your Information
Before you delete your account, you may also want to log in and download a copy of your information (such as your photos and posts) from Instagram. You will not be able to use Instagram’s Data Download tool after your account has been deleted.
If you delete your account, your profile, photos, videos, comments, likes and followers will be permanently removed. If you just want to take a break, you can temporarily disable your account instead.
Delete Your Account from Accounts Center Permanently
You can remove your account through Accounts ownership and control in Accounts Center. Or you can do this:
1. Click More in the bottom left, then click Settings.
2. Tap Accounts Center and then tap Personal details.
3. Click Account ownership and control, then click Deactivation or Deletion.
4. Click on the account you want to delete permanently.
5. Click Delete account and then click Continue.
Sign up to Get Back on Instagram
You can get an account with the same username, and reuse the deleted one, as long as the username has not been claimed by someone else on Instagram after the account has been deleted.
Your account, if you opt to delete it, as described in Help, Disputing, choosing to discontinue your use of the Service and after 30 days of your account delete request your account and all information associated with it will be permanently deleted, and you will not be able to access your information.
While it’s hidden, the content is subject to Instagram’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and isn’t visible to other people on the service.

It May Also Take up to 90 Days for Deletion
